Samsung ATIV S |
Samsung is starting to
ship its first Windows Phone 8-based handset, with Canadians being
among the first ones with the opportunity to purchase them on retail.
Three major wireless carriers in the Great White North–namely Bell, Rogers, and Telus–have been offering the Samsung ATIV S
to their subscribers since last week. The carriers have different
schemes in pricing their ATIV S’s. Bell is offering the handset for
C$100 with a three-year contract; while Rogers offers it for C$80 with
the same lengthy contract; and Telus drops it even further with an
introductory price of C$30 on a three-year plan with a “C$50 monthly
spend before tax.”
The Samsung ATIV S is also available without contract for C$600 (at Bell and Rogers) or C$650 on Telus.
