And comply they do. In the realm of external hard drives, Toshiba has recently introduced what might be one of the thinnest portable hard drives yet with its new Toshiba Canvio Slim.

The new Toshiba Canvio Slim Portable Hard Drive is being marketed as one of the slimmest external hard drives available. It measures just 9mm thin, making it ideal when used with those thin ultra books now available in the market. This slim external hard drive comes with a 500GB storage capacity and supports USB 3.0 for faster file transfer speeds. The slim design is complemented by its sleek brushed aluminum finish that either comes in black or silver. The new Toshiba Canvio Slim Portable Hard Drive is expected to be available at selected retailers by October at a suggested retail price of US$115.
