Youth-oriented TV network The CW will promote its latest shows for
Fall by inserting small LCD displays on the October 5th issue of
Entertainment Weekly.
The LCD will display the six most recent posts of The CW’s Twitter
feed (@CW_Network), as well as a short video featuring the actors of The
CW’s new shows including “Emily Owens M.D.” The screen would require
some form of Internet or cellular connection embedded into it to make it
possible.
It remains unclear whether all issues of the EW’s October 5th edition
will come with the embedded video screen, or just a few thousand
copies.
