The Vileda Virobi Robotic Mop is quite unique in that it is not the usual robot vacuum cleaner like the ones now available out there. It actually acts just like a mop that spins and captures dirt and dust on floors using a disposable electrostatic cleaning pad. The Vileda Virobi uses its spinning motion to gently mop the floor but with effective results. It can be set to either a 30-minute or a 120-minute cleaning cycle to go through the whole room and mop the floor clean. The navigation system id the robot cleaner allows it to make a thorough cleaning of the whole room it cleans. The flexible electrostatic pad holder also acts as a convenient fender that prevents the robot to crash on the walls. It automatically moves the other way when it senses obstacles. The Vileda Virobi Robotic Mop is currently available in the European market. Here’s to wishing that it might someday reach US shores.
