Sony Xperia Tablet S |
Sony Mobile announced its newest line of gadgets at this year’s IFA show in Berlin, which included a previously-leaked 9.4-inch Android 4.0 tablet.
The Sony Xperia Tablet S will run on Android 4.0.3 and will be packed
with an Nvidia Tegra 3 quad-core chip. The screen is expected to be of
HD quality, while the body will be encased in aluminum. Apart from
these info, nothing much has been revealed, including the price and
availability.
The new devices are part of Sony’s plan to accelerate its turnaround.
“Sony is an extraordinary company going through extraordinary times,”
said Sony CEO Kazuo Hirai through a webcast. Hirai assumed his post
last April.
He added: “This company cannot stand still. Sony is committed to accelerating its turnaround and business growth.”
Along with Sony’s new devices, Hirai also introduced his company’s innovations in gaming and camera technologies.
