"Google to Display Email in Search Results"

Google Screen

Google is experimenting a new feature on its web search service wherein it will also display search results from a user’s email.

The test phase only accepts one million users from around the world who will sign up for the trial, which is only available in English and for those who have @gmail.com address.
Amit Singhal, SVP for Google Search, explains how it works: “So if you’re planning a biking trip to Tahoe, you might see relevant emails from friends about the best bike trails, or great places to eat on the right hand side of the results page. If it looks relevant you can then expand the box to read the emails.”
It remains unclear when this feature will be offered publicly.
