Sony Xperia Tablet Z |
Sony announces in Japan a new tablet to start the week. The Xperia
Tablet Z is a 10.1-inch Android 4.1 tablet that comes with features
similar to its smartphone counterpart. The difference, however, is what
is inside the slab: a Qualcomm 1.5GHz quad-core APQ8064 processor, 2GB
of RAM, 32GB of storage with microSD expansion, a 10.1-inch screen with
1920 x 1200 resolution and Mobile Bravia Engine 2, an 8.1-megapixel
back-facing Exmor R camera, NFC functionality, LTE ratio, and Sony’s
S-Force virtual surround sound technology.
What is more amazing is that Sony manage to pack everything in a
6.9mm-thick, 495g-heavy body, making the Xperia Tablet Z one of the
thinnest and lightest tablets in the market. Here is another thing you
should know about this tablet: the Sony Xperia Tablet Z is both waterproof and dust-proof.
Now if only Sony would stop teasing and tell us when it will be available at a retail shelf near you and for how much.
