Microsoft Surface Pro |
Microsoft has released more information about its upcoming Surface Pro tablet, which the company’s general manager Panos Panay showed off with members of the media just recently.
The Window 8 Pro tablet will be available beginning February 9th in
United States and Canada. With its business-geared OS, the tablet is
designed to work with your corporate infrastructure, as well as any
older apps you used on Windows XP and 7. The device will also support
other browsers, unlike in the Windows RT version that only has Internet Explorer.
Another difference between the two tablet is their form, as the
Surface Pro will be a tad thicker and heavier than the Surface RT. The
former will also have a metal VaporMg construction, a kickstand, and
will be compatible with the accessories that the older Surface can use,
even the Type and Touch covers.
As for its internal specs, the Surface Pro will come with an Intel
Core i5 processor, 4GB of memory, dual-band WiFi, a pressure-sensitive
stylus, dual 720p HD webcams, a USB 3.0 port, microSDXC slot, and a mini
DisplayPort.
The Microsoft Surface Pro will be available in two versions. The 64GB model will go for $899, while the 128GB for $999.
