"Scanadu SCOUT Health Tricorder"

Scanadu SCOUT Health Tricorder

Health monitoring has become an important part of everyday life. But people would usually require certain devices that will help them keep track of their vital signs that will give them a means of determining what they feel and how their health is doing. There’s a device called the Scanadu SCOUT Health Tricorder that will do just the thing.
The Scanadu SCOUT Health Tricorder is an upcoming device that will eventually help people take better charge of monitoring their own health. This health monitoring device will take measurements of your body’s vitals and other health data such as temperature, pulse transit time, heart rate, electrical heart activity, heart rate variability and blood oxygenation. The device takes these measurements by simply placing it on your left temple. In just a span of 10 seconds, the device can capture and record the measurements.
The health data from the Scanadu SCOUT is then sent to an app on your Android phone or iPhone. The health data can be stored and shown to a doctor for further diagnosis. A future function may also let the app provide common diagnosis for the user based on the health readings that the SCOUT was able to get. The Scanadu SCOUT is expected to be available in the market sometime next year. It is expected to cost around US$150.
