Facebook for BlackBerry Updated with Increased BBM Integration

BlackBerry-totting Facebookers have long been able to post their status updates onto their BlackBerry Messenger profiles as well, but the latest Facebook for BlackBerry update makes BBM more integrated into the FB experience.

The version 3.3 enables you to start BBM chats using your BBM PIN contacts, all within Facebook for BlackBerry app. You can also share your BlackBerry PIN with your friends in Facebook, as well as search for friends who also have BBM. Once you’ve spotted a friend who is on BBM, simply tap on the new BBM icon to invite them to become part of your contact list.

Apart from the BBM integration, Facebook also updated the app with a feature you have long wondered why it never had one: un-friending. Finally, you can easily remove that person on your network who overshares right within the app.

The new version also has a new way of sharing and viewing photos on Facebook, providing you with a faster way of viewing photos, and at a higher resolution. You can browse through thumbnails of all your photos or check them in full-screen mode. The app update also enables you to save photos to your device or media card.

Note that it may take up to 24 hours for the app to appear in the BlackBerry App World.
