Photos of ZTE’s upcoming high-end flagship device have been leaked. While it is not obvious from the pictures, the ZTE Nubia Z5 is expected to feature quad-core chip sets, a 13-megapixel camera, and a 5-inch high-resolution screen.

ZTE is touting the luxury smartphone’s so-called Italian design, which probably explains the bump on the back that houses the camera. The company also revealed that the Nubiz Z5 will have stereo speakers on its back and is just as thin as the 7.6-millimeter iPhone 5.

And that’s what we know about the ZTE Nubia Z5 so far, except that the name is derived from the Latin word for “cloudy.” The manufacturer is planning a December 2012 release date for this handset.
