LG Kidspad |
There seems to be an increasing market for kid’s tablets. It might be
the best recourse for many tablet makers, since the competition in the
main tablet market is getting fiercer and fiercer. And it may be for
this reason that even Korean consumer electronics company LG is getting
into this tablet niche as it recently announced its new LG Kidspad
tablet.
LG has announced that it will be entering into the Kid’s tablet
market with its own LG Kidspad. While the technical details for the new
kid’s tablet is still being withheld, the Korean company has provided
images on how it would look like. It is specifically designed for kids
with added damage protection as well as features to make online content
access as kid’s safe as possible.
The LG Kidspad is designed to be more of an educational tablet for
kids ages 3 to 7 years of age. Educational content for the kid’s tablet
will be available, including kid-friendly apps available at a dedicated
app market. The LG Kidspad is designed using only non-toxic materials
with a reinforced body to protect against possible damage caused by
those little hands. The LG Kidspad will initially be made available in
Korea any time this week limited to only 2,000 units. Each tablet is
expected to cost around 299,000 Korean Won or around US$276.
