Air conditioners are meant to make the hot environment cooler for added comfort. Giving it other unique features would really make it stand out. One of such features is making it as an effective mosquito repeller, just as what LG recently introduced with its new LG Anti-Mosquito Air Conditioner.

The LG Anti-Mosquito Air Conditoner was recently unveiled to utilize ultrasonic wave technology in order to repel mosquitoes. Tested using a Peet Grady chamber, the new LG air conditioner is effective enough to repel up to 64 percent of malaria-transmitting female Anopheles mosquitoes in a span of 24 hours and 84 percent of mosquitoes overall. It also delivers powerful cooling features using LG’s AC technology. The new LG Anti-Mosquito Air Conditioner is set to be introduced initially in the African market where the mosquito problem is quite severe. No details yet have been provided on when this new air conditioner will be available in the market or how much it will cost.
