"Hulu Plus Comes to Wii U"

Hulu Plus for Wii U

While Wii U was shipped without the much-anticipated Nintendo TVii feature, the Japanese gaming company made up for it when the console came pre-installed with Netflix. If you are a subscriber of the rival Hulu Plus, do not worry because Hulu has released an app for that.

Hulu Plus for Wii U wirelessly connects the game console’s WiiPad to your TV, allowing you to navigate through many TV shows Hulu has in its library using a combination of information on the big screen and that on the handheld screen. For example, flip through thumbnails of each show on the TV browser; once you select a show, further details about the program appear on the WiiPad’s screen.
As you watch a show, the handheld screen displays playback controls, as well as a menu of the show’s available chapters and other options. You could even leave your TV and switch video playback onto the WiiPad, making TV watching more convenient as you move about the house.
The Hulu app can be downloaded for free, but you will need to be a Hulu Plus subscriber (which costs $8 a month) to gain access to its massive video library.
