"iPhone 360 Degree Panoramic Video Lens"

iPhone 360 Degree Panoramic Video Lens

With almost all mobile phones like the Apple iPhone now sporting digital cameras of their own, it seems that the digital cameras may no longer be the choice for some people as the primary photo capturing device. The convenience and the portability of the smartphone camera have won over many people. And as the features and better photo capturing quality of cameras in mobile phones develop and progress, it might just be possible for those compact digital cameras to become obsolete. And as the iPhone camera becomes a useful feature on the smartphone more and more, there would be accessories like the iPhone 360 Degree Panoramic Video Lens being developed to further add to its image capturing versatility.

The iPhone 360 Degree Panoramic Video Lens allows the iPhone camera to capture seamless 360 degree panoramic video. It uses the same technology that is used by the military in their surveillance cameras. It features a lens with a curved mirror that gathers light from all directions at the same time without the need for image stitching to process the video or image afterwards. A free app does the work of calibrating the focus and adjusts the exposure automatically. The lens is removable from its protective case attachment so that iPhone users can still use the case when the lens is not being needed. The iPhone 360 Degree Panoramic Video Lens is available at Hammacher Schlemmer for US$80.
