"HTC Unveils Japan-Only J Butterfly Smartphone with 1080p Display"

HTC J Butterfly Black

While we usually scoff off Japan-exclusive smartphones, we might take a serious double-look at HTC’s latest handset set to be only available in the Land of Tomorrow. Recently revealed in a press event in Tokyo, the HTC J Butterfly comes with impressive features such as its 5-inch Super LCD 3 screen with 1080p resolution and a crazy pixel density of 440 pixels per inch.

How crazy that is? To put in perspective, the iPhone 5’s Retina Display only has 325ppi.
Also in this device is a 1.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro CPU (as seen in LG Optimus G), 2GB of RAM, an 8-megapixel rear camera with ImageSense enhancement, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, and a customized HTC Sense UI similar to the HTC Rhyme.
And while the possibility of seeing the HTC J Butterfly outside Japan is close to nil, expect its ridiculous 1080p display will be included in future HTC smartphones to be shipped to the New World.
