Google could not think of a better way to introduce its augmented
reality glasses to the general public by letting famous fashion designer
Diane von Furstenberg outfit her models in Google Glass as they walk along the New York Fashion Week runway. Even actress Sarah Jessica Parker tried them on.
Tech analysts see it as a huge risk with little or close-to-absent support from all over the world.
“It’s clear that Google feels that these GooGlasses will probably
receive a chilly welcome from the world at large and this is one of the
outreach efforts that will encourage folks to at least give them a fair
shake,” wrote John Biggs for TechCrunsh. “I worry that these sorts of
shows will turn Glass into must-have accessory of the year.
No word yet from Google when we will see these Google Glasses formally launched.
