Samsung Galaxy S III |
Still grinning from its huge legal win against Samsung
in its hometown court, Apple is now targeting some of the South Korean
company’s popular devices that are currently in the market.
In a new complaint filed
by Apple in a federal court in California, the company added the
Samsung Galaxy S III and Galaxy Note–including its numerous
variations–among the devices Apple wants banned in the United States.
Apple wants to make sure it has banned Samsung’s top-selling gadgets, unlike the last time when it tried to ban Samsung’s devices that would have been virtually obsolete by now.
The Galaxy S III is Samsung’s current flagship smartphone and has
become a runaway bestseller. Over 10 million units were sold globally
within its first two months on the market. The smartphone even became
more popular in the United States after the jury verdict against Samsung
was announced, according to a survey by a securities analyst last
weekend.
Apple contends in its new complaint that these new devices have
similar features in its patents the company used against Samsung.
