Spellsword is a unique iOS adventure game app that can be quite hard to put down once you have started playing it. The appeal comes basically from the gameplay that it offers. Spellsword is unique in that it offers an adventure game where objectives may vary from one mission to another. On one map, the objective may be to kill a certain number of enemies. On another it might be trying to survive an indicated number of enemy waves. Still on other maps, the objective might be trying to collect a certain amount of coins or other items in order to clear it.

Another appeal to the game is that players have a variety of options in trying to do battle with the enemy. Aside from the handy sword the character has as a primary weapon, there are also certain cards that appear on the map that provides the character with different spells to use against the enemies. The retro-style  8-bit graphics only serve to provide some added appeal to the game, giving it an old school touch but played on a touchscreen device.
