"Nikon CoolPix S800c Digital Camera"

Nikon CoolPix S800c

Digital cameras today are competing with smartphones in trying to become a user’s means of taking photos. But it seems that more and more people are choosing smartphone for the handy convenience. Newer digital cameras might need to get added features in order to keep the competition tight. The new Nikon CoolPix S800c Digital Camera may aim to do just that.

The Nikon CoolPix S800c Digital Camera features a 16MP CMOS sensor with 10x optical zoom NIKKOR lens, built-in GPS and a 3.5 inch OLED screen. Aside from still images, this compact digital camera also is capable of Full HD 1080p video recording. But what may make it an interesting compact digital camera to have is that it runs on Android 2.3 OS and is WiFi capable. That means images can easily be shared directly from the camera and into a user’s favorite social network. Even in the absence of a WiFi hotspot, the camera may still be able to transfer images wirelessly to smartphones and tablets. The ability to download apps from Google Play may also be some added fun factor. The Nikon CoolPix S800c Digital Camera is expected to hit the shelves sometime next month. No pricing details have been provided yet.
