Microsoft has announced some time ago that it is on its way to
launching its new line of Windows 8 devices. Or rather, its
manufacturing partners are about to do so. Well, the wait is just around
two months to go as Lenovo has recently announced the availability of
the ThinkPad Tablet 2 for Windows 8.
The new Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet 2 for Windows 8 is a successful
partnership between Microsoft, Intel and Lenovo. It is considered to be
Lenovo’s very first Windows 8 tablet, and one of the very first to come
out in the market. It will be a 10.1 inch tablet which runs on an Intel
Atom processor. Its design has it measuring 9.8mm thin and weighs just
around 600 grams. It will feature a 1366×768 screen, USB and HDMI ports
as well as a 2MP front and 8MP rear camera. The Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet 2
is designed as a multi-use device, even offering an optional digitizer
and pen that would be useful for note taking, capturing signatures as
well as in writing in forms. This versatile device is expected to come
out sometime in October although the price is yet to be announced.
