"Honda Miimo Robotic Lawn Mower"

Honda Miimo Robotic Lawn Mower

Robots are slowly finding their way into our daily lives. Although any robot revolution against humans may still be afar off, robots have finally been developed to serve people in a variety of helpful ways. There is now a robotic vacuum cleaner that automatically cleans the floor in homes with little human assistance. Then there is the robotic butler that Honda has been developing over the years in Asimo. Honda tries to give Asimo a partner this time and has developed the new Honda Miimo Robotic Lawn Mower.

The Honda Miimo is designed to help people cut grass and trim their lawns when people don’t feel like it. If the heat may be quite unbearable for cutting grass, let Miimo do it. This robotic lawn mower can cut grass within 2-3mm to keep your lawn well-trimmed. It works by cutting grass within the boundary wire that is placed around the yard with grass that needs trimming. The Honda Miimo runs on lithium-ion battery and can sense when the charge is low and will automatically head on to its charging base to replenish its used up power. Different modes help Miimo effectively cut grass depending on the size of the lawn and the way the homeowner would prefer cutting grass. The Honda Miimo is expected to reach Europe first in the early 2013. No price details have yet been provided for this new robotic yard helper.
