Target QR Code-Based Shopping |
In anticipation to the stressful holiday shopping, Target has
announced it will set up a special in-store area featuring 20 of the
most popular toys all tagged with QR codes beginning October 14th.
Parents can simply scan the codes with their smartphones or tablets
for an instant, secret mobile shopping. That should keep their children
guessing whether Santa Claus has presents for them. It also lessens
the stress of having to muscle in through throngs of shoppers fighting
over the same Furby.
But first, they have to install Target’s app to scan the codes and
opt-in for the free shipping anywhere in the United States. The list of
20 QR-tagged toys include Hasbro Playskool Rockitivity Walk ‘n Roll
Rider, Just Play Bounce Bounce Tigger, the 2012 edition Furby, Hot
Wheels Wall Tracks Power Tower Track Set, a Target-exclusive LeapPad2 Explorer
bundle, the Nerf N-Strike Elite Hail-Fire Blaster, Hasbro’s Spider-Man
Dual Action Web Shooter, the Beyblade: Metal Fury Destroyer Dome, Easy
Bake Ultimate Over, and Lego’s Super Heroes Batwing Battle Over Gotham
City set.
